The keynote address will be given by nationally recognized Americana documentarist Rick Sebak. Attendees of the conference will undoubtedly recognize his voice and style from his many "scrapbook documentaries" as seen on PBS across the country. His most recent production on cemeteries is one that has delighted family historians everywhere. This will be a real treat to have the opportunity to see Pennsylvania through the eyes of this folksy storyteller.

Rick is a native of the Pittsburgh area and has worked for WQED in Pittsburgh, the local PBS station, for the last nineteen years. You are guaranteed to see Pittsburgh in a whole new light.

Annette K. Burgert, FGSP, FASG, specializes in finding eighteenth-century Swiss and German immigrants' places of origin. She has authored numerous books and has received several awards. She currently serves as a vice president of the GSP.

Marilyn Cocchiola Holt, MLS, is department head of the Pennsylvania Department of the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh; past president, program chair, president-elect of the WPGS, and a member of the board of directors of the GSP.

Patricia Law Hatcher, FASG, editor of The Pennsylvania Genealogical Magazine, is a professional genealogist specializing in problem solving whose articles have appeared in over a dozen publications. She is a staff member in the Genealogy Section of the Dallas Public Library.

Sandra M. Hewlett, CG, currently serves on the NEHGS Advisory Council and as a counselor for the Genealogical Society of Pennsylvania's Summer Camp program.

John T. Humphrey, an award-winning author of numerous books and articles, is the current president of the Mid-Atlantic Germanic Society, a vice president of the GSP and a former member of the board of the WPGS.

John W. Konvalinka, CG, CGL, has been actively involved in genealogy for more than twenty years and has researched extensively in major genealogical repositories in the U.S. and Great Britain. He is a member of numerous societies and has lectured throughout the U.S.

L. Suzanne Kellerman, MLS, is Judith O. Sieg Chair for Preservation and Head of the Preservation Department at the Pennsylvania State University Libraries. She is currently active with the Pennsylvania Newspaper Project to preserve historic Pennsylvania newspapers on microfilm for access across the state.

Janet C. McFarland, lecturer, researcher and co-founder of Retrospect Publishing, has been actively involved in conducting Pennsylvania research for over twenty years. She is a member of First Families of Western Pennsylvania and can trace her Pennsylvania ancestors to fifteen Pennsylvania counties.

Roger P. Minert, PhD, AG, an associate professor of family history at Brigham Young University, is the author of more than sixty books and articles. He is accredited by the Family History Library for research in Germany and Austria, and he has logged an extensive amount of time in archives and parish offices throughout Europe.

Christine Rose, CG, CGL, FASG, is a full time professional genealogist with thirty-eight years experience. A recipient of the prestigious Donald Lines Jacobus award, Ms. Rose is the author/compiler of several books and many articles.

Richard G. Sayre, a longtime researcher, lecturer and writer, is an instructor at the Institute of Genealogy & Historical Research (IGHR) at Samford University. His areas of research interest include military records, urban research methodology, mapping tools for genealogists, immigration, the Ohio River Valley, and Western Pennsylvania.

Jonathan R. Stayer, is head of the Reference Section at the Pennsylvania State Archives in Harrisburg, where he has been employed as a reference archivist since 1985. He has written several genealogy and local history articles and was a member of the board of the Genealogical Society of Pennsylvania.

Curt B. Witcher, MLS, FUGA, is manager of the Historical Genealogy Department of the Allen County Public Library and curator of its Rare & Fine Books Collection. He is former president of NGS and FGS and founding president of the IGS. He is also a member of the editorial board for The Hoosier Genealogist.
